LiteSpeed “quic.cloud” Installation and Settings
Entrance
Litespeed's QUIC.cloud CDN is a new way to power your website. Even if you don't have Litespeed, you can still benefit from the free CDN and DDO protection from quic.cloud.
QUIC.cloud is the only CDN service that correctly caches dynamic pages (pages that can change frequently) with its smart caching CDN based on LiteSpeed Cache. LSCache for WordPress knows when to automatically flush and sync data in QUIC.cloud, giving it an edge over all other CDN providers. Users can now ensure that anyone worldwide can access their site in less than 100ms!
After reading this tutorial, if there is anything you do not understand, please let us know by sending an email to [l]speedtech.com.
Step 1: Sign up
- To access the service, you need to open an account. This is a one-time process and you can add multiple domains to the same account. To register Click.
- You want Email address and password enter.
- Check your email and confirm your account to log in to QUIC.cloud.
Step 2: Add Your Domain to QUIC.cloud
+Add Domain Click the button. Write your domain name and NextClick on .
Next, you will see the settings specific to your domain to configure:
Domain IP : Enter your source server IP here in this field (i.e. the actual IP address where the website is hosted). If you are not sure which IP it is, please check with your hosting server.
SSL : This option defines the level of encryption your website will have. There are three options:
- Both – Select this if you want to use your website with both HTTP and HTTPS.
- Yes – This will redirect all HTTP requests to your domain to HTTPS. It will connect to your server using HTTPS and also serve your website only via HTTPS. This is recommended.
- No – This will also redirect your HTTP requests to HTTPS on your domain, but connect to your server using HTTP. If your domain origin server does not have HTTPS, you can use this.
Auto Certificate : This option is Litespeed's Automatically Created Free SSL Option.
- OFF – This will allow you to use your own certificate, If you choose this you will have the option to enter your Certificate and Key files.
- FRONT – If you select this, the CDN will automatically manage the certificate for you and use Letsencrypt to issue certificates. Renewal is also done automatically.
You will then be given a CNAME subdomain to which you will point your domain.
Step 3: Configure and Verify DNS Records
Configure your domain's CNAME DNS record as follows:
- Main computer – @ or www (This depends on what you use as default for your domain)
- TTL – The smallest possible number.
- Record – XX.quic.cloud (This is the subdomain you got from QUIC.cloud during the domain adding process.)
Easy Method ;
After making the settings in this way, click Dashboard > Domain Management > Verify Again and verify the CNAME.
After successful verification, follow the steps below to create a certificate for your domain: Generate CertClick the . button.
If you are using a root domain for your website and you used Cloudflare to set up your DNS CNAME as described in the previous CNN, you may encounter an error when attempting to verify, CNAME not Parsed . This will not prevent your website from working in any way! Cloudflare flattens CNAME Root domains, so it is shown to the world as an A record. This is why our Verify button is failing. To verify that your domain is indeed pointed to correctly, ping your domain using the default www or non-www as appropriate, and ping the CNAME record that QUIC Cloud gave you. If both point to the same IP, then you are good to go. Don’t worry if the CNAME doesn’t appear to be verified in your dashboard. Just use the Generate Certificate button as normal and feel free to ignore the CNAME Validation process.
The Generate Cert step will not be needed if you have set the Auto Certificate to OFF during the domain adding process and have configured your own SSL Certificate in the CDN.
Step 4: Manage Settings
This page allows you to manage your domain settings on the CDN.
Click on the Edit button and open the settings.
Server IP , SSL And Autocert We already set them in Step 2. You can change them here if needed.
The new option Recaptcha Defense , in case of a DoS attack ReCAPTCHAAllows you to protect your website by applying site-wide. Turn this on if your website is under attack.
